OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to potential fire hazards while working at or near enclosureless dust collectors that were not adequately designed and installed to prevent or minimize employee exposure in the event of a fire event:    Cabinet Shop Area - Employee(s) were exposed to potential fire hazards such as, but not limited to:    a) The enclosureless dust collectors installed to collect wood dust from the router table, shaper, table saw, and edge bander lacked sprinkler protection, had a maximum air handling capacity of less than 5000 cubic feet per minute (cfm), and were located within 20 feet of employee workstations and egress paths.    b)  The enclosureless dust collectors installed to collect wood dust from the upper cut saw, the planer, sanders, and the table saw lacked sprinkler protection, had a maximum air handling capacity of less than 5000 cubic feet per minute (cfm), and were located within 20 feet of employee workstations and egress paths.    c) The enclosureless dust collector installed to collect wood dust from the panel saw lacked sprinkler protection, had a maximum air handling capacity of less than 5000 cubic feet per minute (cfm), and was located within 20 feet of employee workstations and egress paths.    d) The enclosureless dust collector installed to collect wood dust from the CNC router lacked sprinkler protection, had a maximum air handling capacity of less than 5000 cubic feet per minute (cfm), and was located within 20 feet of employee workstations and egress paths.
