29 CFR 1910.178(m)(4): The employer shall prohibit arms or legs from being placed between the uprights of the mast or outside the running lines of the truck. On February 18, 2015, at the South Dock Area, a forklift operator's right hand was exposed to a caught in-between hazard from the forklift and rack on the shelving aisle when making a left turn after coming from the outside to the inside and the forklift slid and struck the shelving rack.

29 CFR 1910.178(n)(10): The driver shall be required to slow down for wet and slippery floors. On February 18, 2015, at the South Dock Area, a forklift operator was operating the forklift from the outside, snow and wet conditions, to the inside the wet floor area just inside the S-19 overhead ramp door of the facility and did not slow down sufficiently to prevent the sliding of the forklift from striking the rack on the three level high stationary shelving.

29 CFR 1910.178(n)(15): While negotiating turns, speed shall be reduced to a safe level by means of turning the hand steering wheel in a smooth, sweeping motion. Except when maneuvering at a very low speed, the hand steering wheel shall be turned at a moderate, even rate. On February 18, 2015, at the South Dock Area, a forklift operator negotiating a left turn inside the building after coming from the outside traveled at a speed where he could not maintain control of the forklift and it slid and struck the rack on the stationary three level high shelving.
