29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of Carbon Monoxide listed in Table Z-1 in excess of 50 parts per million as 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentration :    On or about February 3, 2015, an employee working near two running forklifts in the shop area was exposed to an 8 hour time weighted average  concentration of approximately 294 parts per million of Carbon Monoxide which exceeded the permissible exposure limit by 588% during a sampling period of 225 minutes. Zero exposure was used for the unsampled portion of the shift.    STEP 1: Plan    Submit to the area director a written, detailed plan of abatement outlining a schedule for the implementation of engineering and/or administrative measure to control employee exposure to hazardous substances referenced in this citation.    1. Evaluation of engineering/administrative control options:    2. Selection of optimum control methods and completion of design;    3. Procurement, installation and operation of selected control measures; and    4. Testing and acceptance of modifications/redesign of controls.
