General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(5): The chemical manufacturer, importer or employer did not ensure that the information provided accurately reflects the scientific evidence used in making the hazard classification: The safety data sheet prepared for the "Met Treatment/Additive Desulfurizer AMCW-DS16C" which was issued on 1/2/1014 did not include all the physical hazards of the product. This product customarily used aluminum particles of larger size; during the manufacturing of at least one of the batches, finer particles of aluminum were substituted. While the product had similar chemical characteristics, the introduction of finer particles resulted in a combustible dust hazard under certain conditions of use; this was not listed on the data sheet.
