OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to caught-in hazards: (a) On or about 02/24/2015- Main plant, press #7, die #68122/172, the employer didn't ensure that the cam the press was not sticking while employees were running parts. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to train all employees working on presses regarding cams, safe operation around cams, and directing the employees to report immediately if a cam is sticking in a part.
