OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to a struck-by and caught-in-between hazards.      a) On or about March 6, 2015- job site at Runway 31, LaGuardia Airport, East Elmhurst, NY 11371    An employee tasked to secure an aircraft to a trailer got his hand caught-in-between the aircraft and the truck when the     aircraft began to slide off the trailer. It was placed onto the truck by two cranes. The cranes rigging had been     removed before the aircraft was secured to the trailer.      Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard is:      1.       Follow the Federal Motor Carrier and Safety Administration Regulations, 49 CFR 393.106 for securing cargo.  a.       Cargo must be firmly immobilized or secured on or within a vehicle by structures of adequate strength, dunnage or dunnage bags, shoring bars, tiedowns or a combination of these.  b.      Cargo that is likely to roll must be restrained by chocks, wedges, a cradle or other equivalent means to prevent rolling. The means of preventing rolling must not be capable of becoming unintentionally unfastened or loose while the vehicle is in transit.   c.       The tie down must be of adequate strength to be able to secure the load.
