29 CFR 1910.1026(c): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium (VI) which exceeded 5 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-hour time-weighted average: a) The employer does not ensure that no employees are exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium(VI) of five (5) micrograms per cubic meter as an eight (8) hour time weighted average (TWA) while painting a boat. This violation occurred on 3/18/2015, in the canopy area of the paint shop, when an employee was exposed to an eight-hour time weighted average concentration of forty-eight (48) micrograms per cubic meter of chromium(VI) when sampled for 90 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 390 minutes. b) The employer does not ensure that no employees are exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium(VI) of five (5) micrograms per cubic meter as an eight (8) hour time weighted average (TWA) while painting a boat. This violation occurred on 3/18/2015, in the canopy area of the paint shop, when an employee was exposed to an eight-hour time weighted average concentration of one-hundred and three (103) micrograms per cubic meter of chromium(VI) when sampled for 86 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 394 minutes. c) The employer does not ensure that no employees are exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium(VI) of five (5) micrograms per cubic meter as an eight (8) hour time weighted average (TWA) while painting a boat. This violation occurred on 4/1/2015, in the spray booth of the paint shop, when an employee was exposed to an eight-hour time weighted average concentration of two-hundred and seventy three (273) micrograms per cubic meter of chromium(VI) when sampled for 90 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 390 minutes.
