29 CFR 1910.213(i)(1): Non-working portion(s) of the blade of bandsaw(s) were not enclosed or guarded: (a) On March 12, 2015 the inspection revealed that employees were potentially exposed to serious injury from the unused portion of the blade underneath the work rest on the Rockwell Model 14 bandsaw that was not guarded. The bandsaw was located in the carpentry shop in the machine shop building at the McNary Dam Complex in Umatilla, Oregon. (b) On March 12, 2015 the inspection revealed that employees were potentially exposed to serious injury from the unused portion of the blade underneath the work rest on the Delta bandsaw that was not guarded. 29 CFR 1910.254(b)(4)(iv): Terminals for welding leads were not protected from accidental contact by personnel or metal objects: (a) On March 12, 2015 the inspection revealed that employees were potentially exposed to serious injury because the welding lead terminals on the Lincoln Electric welder were not covered to prevent contact. The welder is portable but was located in the Machine Shop building at the time of the inspection.
