29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) The employer does not ensure that employees are provided and use fall protection when exposed to serious fall hazards during roofing work. This condition was most recently observed at a new home construction site on East Hard Rock Road on March 12, 2015, where employees were performing prep work for tile roofing activities at the edge of a 3 in 12 pitched roof 21 feet above the ground without a fall protection system in place. SC Roofing, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 903381, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 11, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1251 East Versailles Ct., Boise, ID 83714.
