29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: Storage Warehouse: Where employees handle storage containers of caustic and corrosive chemicals such as: Flourosilic Acid, Caustic Soda Micro Pearls, Hydrogen peroxide and Disodium Metasilicate Anhydrous, the employer did not provide personal protective equipment such as but not limited to appropriate chemical resistant gloves to wear in case of container leaks or spills. An employee wearing work gloves received a chemical burn on his hand when liquid from a storage container of hydrogen peroxide leaked onto his hand and went through the glove to his skin.

29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: Storage Warehouse: Where employees handle storage containers of caustic and corrosive chemicals such as: Flourosilic Acid, Caustic Soda Micro Pearls, Hydrogen peroxide and Disodium Metasilicate Anhydrous, the employer did not provide chemical resistant gloves to wear in case of container leaks or spills.
