What this inspection record means

OSHA opens inspections for many reasons: routine scheduling under a national or local emphasis program, an employee complaint or referral, or a follow-up after a reported injury. Opening or conducting an inspection is not itself an allegation or a finding that this employer broke any rule; any findings appear as the citations listed below, and citations can be contested, reduced, or withdrawn.

29 CFR 1926.754(a): Structural stability was not maintained at all times during the erection process. On or about March 20, 2015 and in times prior thereto, a 50 foot steel building was being constructed without a site-specific erection plan and temporary bracing equivalent in strength to the completed structure. This condition created a fall from elevation hazard to iron workers, located at the construction site. Workers were also exposed to the hazards of being struck by steel in the event the ratchet devices used as braces failed.
