29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stair rail system along each unprotected side or edge: A) Front of building 500, on or about March 17, 2015, the two sections of wooden stairs in the middle of the building and the stairs on both ends used to access the second floor did not have stair rails on the open sides of the stairway, exposing employees to a fall hazard of up to 9 ½ feet. Gerralds Mechanical, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 988972 citation number (1), item number (1a), and was affirmed on September 12, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 134, Pooler, GA.
