29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program:  a) At the facility, where the employer had not implemented a monitoring program.  An employee was exposed to 299.8% of the noise dose during one shift.  A 299.8% dose is approximately equivalent to 97.9 decibels.  The employee was sampled for 470 minutes.  Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time of 10 minutes.

An employee was exposed to 299.8% of the noise dose during one shift.  A 299.8% dose is approximately equivalent to 97.9 decibels.  The employee was sampled for approximately 470 minutes.  Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time of 10 minutes.

The employee was sampled for approximately 470 minutes.  Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time of 10 minutes.
