29 CFR 1910.269(o)(3)(i): The employer did not provide safeguarding within test areas to control access to test equipment or to apparatus under test that could become energized as part of the testing by either direct or inductive coupling and to prevent accidental employee contact with energized parts:  The employer does not ensure access to test equipment or to the apparatus under test that could become energized as part of the testing by either direct or inductive coupling is controlled and that employees do not accidently come into contact with energized parts.  This violation occurred on or about March 16, 2015, when employees performing insulation testing on top of a transformer were exposed to electrical hazards while running high voltage tests without safeguarding provided within the test areas to prevent accidental employee contact with energized parts.     Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that access to test equipment or the apparatus under test is controlled so that employees are not exposed to energized parts.
