OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to amputation hazards from moving parts of an Ariens Compact Series Sn0-Thro Model 920021 Compact 24 where the employer failed to provide adequate training as required by the manufacturer's Owner/Operator Manual. On or about January 29, 2015, an employee suffered a partial amputation of the finger when he used his hand to clear a clog and was struck by the moving impeller.
