29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Tool and Die Area - Employees were using the Do All contour band saw with an unguarded 2 inch section of the moving blade, exposing employees to a potentially serious injury while cutting metal parts, observed on or about 3-24-15. (b) Maintenance - Employees were using the Do All Zephyr band saw with an unguarded 2 inch section of the moving blade, exposing employees to a potentially serious injury while cutting metal parts, observed on or about 3-24-15. (c) Maintenance - Employees were using the Marvel No. 6 powered hack saw with an unguarded 8 inch section of the moving blade, exposing employee to a serious hazard, observed on or about 3-24-15 Abatement certification required.
