29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) 5237 Sparrow Lane, Worksite - on or about March 27, 2015, employees were observed climbing an extension ladder used to access the top plates of a wood framed structure where the ladder side rails did not extend at least three feet above the upper landing surface. Kistler Buildings, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314723206, citation number 2, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on April 28, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 10635 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville, PA 18031.
