29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) Menards West, mezzanine addition; The workers that were installing the subflooring on the upper level of the mezzanine were exposed to fall hazards of 13 feet 4 inches and were not using an effective means of fall protection. Heartland Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection #991514, Citation 1, Item 1 issued on February 13, 2015 and was affirmed as a final order on March 4, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1570 Benjamin Place, Chippewa Falls, WI.
