On or about March 26, 2015, a fiberglass extension ladder was used on a wet and slippery deck surface and the ladder was not stabilized or secured to prevent the ladder from being displaced.  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to comply with the American National Standards Institute A14.5-1982 Section 9.3.4 Footing Support.  Ladders shall not be used on ice, snow, or slippery surfaces unless suitable means to prevent slipping are employed.
