A device such as a panic bar that locks only from the outside is permitted on exit discharge doors: North side of building - Employees were not able to safely exit the dining area(s) without a key for the rear patio exit. Employees were exposed to burns and/or smoke inhalation in the event of fire. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements in 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

Employees in the kitchen, upstairs dining area and rear stairwell where no natural light was available were not provided with lighting along the exit routes to the public way.
