29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: The Finzer Roller of Florida, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315883207, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 7, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 733 Kraft Rd., Lakeland, FL 33815. Employees in the Small Grinding department operating a cylindrical grinder mounted on the Toolmex TUR 630M lathe machine which did not have an adjustable tongue guard on the top side of the grinder and there was greater than a one fourth inch gap between the wheel periphery and the guard.
