Max load amperes for 15 amperes receptacle is 12 amperes.  1st Floor- (a) The Tripp-Lite surge protector, designed for low power loads, had a Kitchen Aide toaster and Magic Chef microwave plugged into it, thereby exceeding the max load amperes of the equipment.  7th Floor, IT Storage- (b) The SS-2B-F surge protector, designed for low power loads, had a Emerson microwave, Toastmaster toaster, and a Kenmore refrigerator plugged into it, thereby exceeding the max load amperes of the equipment.
