29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: a) Exterior Rear - Employees were observed walking below a carpenter installing wood flooring on an exterior balcony without wearing hard hats and exposed to being struck by falling wood framing members, on or about 04/09/2015. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. For the purpose of this inspection, this employer was determined to be the controlling and correcting employer on the job site. The employer is being cited under OSHAs multi-employer workplace policy.
