29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): The employer did not ensure that electrical equipment was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.  a)  ESBENSHADE FARMS, NEW EGG PRODUCTION FACILITY CONSTRUCTION AREA - JV Installation employees assembling metal support legs used power tools that were plugged into a 110 volt electrical receptacle, and the 10-2 NM cable supplying the electricity to the receptacle contained a splice that used wire nuts and electrical tape to complete the splice, thereby exposing the employee(s) to shock hazards, on or about April 8, 2015.  b)  ESBENSHADE FARMS, NEW EGG PRODUCTION FACILITY CONSTRUCTION AREA - JV Installation employees assembling metal support legs used power tools that were plugged into a 110 volt electrical receptacle, and the 10-2 NM cable supplying the electricity to the receptacle contained numerous areas where the outer jacket had been ripped, cut or torn exposing the inner energized conductors to damage. JV Installation employee(s) were exposed to shock hazards, on or about April 8, 2015.  No abatement certification or documentation required.
