29 CFR 1910.106(d)(4)(iv): When a mechanical exhaust system was used for an inside storage room, the exhaust was not controlled by a switch located outside of the door. The ventilating equipment and any lighting fixtures were not operated by the same switch. A pilot light was not installed adjacent to the switch if Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 degrees F (37.8 degrees C), were dispensed within the room: (a) Paint Storage Room - The control switches for both the Broan exhaust fan and light switch were located inside of the storage room and the light and fan were not operated by the same switch. A pilot light was not installed and Category 2 and 3 flammable liquids with flashpoints below 100 °F were dispensed inside the room, on or about April 10, 2015. No abatement certification or documentation required.
