OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to which employees were exposed to falling while working from a scissor lift that had the safety gate removed. Location - 108 Billerica Road, Billerica, MA: On or about 3/31/2015, employees were using a scissor lift that had the safety gate removed, among other means, one feasible means of abatement would be to read and follow the manufacturer's operation manual in which it states Do not operate the machine unless the guard rails are properly installed and the entry is secured for operation.
