29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) On April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that employees were potentially exposed to serious injury because the tongue guard on the Delta 6" bench grinder was not adjusted correctly. The bench grinder was located in the fire cache area at the Burns Interagency Communications Center in Burns, Oregon. The Bureau of Land Management was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 107193, notice number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on February 13, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Eugene, Oregon.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: (a) On April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that employees were potentially exposed to serious injury from the use of a compressed air nozzle that was not designed to reduce pressure to less than 30 p.s.i.. The air nozzle was located in the fire cache area of the Blue Mountain Interagency Communications Center in Burns, Oregon. The Bureau of Land Management was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 993028, notice number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 5, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at the Grants Pass Interagency Office in Oregon. The Bureau of Land Management was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 283515, notice number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 10, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at the Salem District Office in Oregon.
