29 CFR 1926.501(b)(14): Each employee working on, at, above, or near wall openings (including those with chutes attached), where the outside bottom edge of the wall opening was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels and the inside bottom edge of the wall opening is less than 39 inches (1.0 M) above the walking/working surface, is not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. At a jobsite located at 34th & SW Chelsea, Topeka, KS, employees engaged in framing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12 feet to the ground below in that fall protection was not provided at the unguarded wall openings.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. At a jobsite located at 34th & SW Chelsea, Topeka, KS, employees engaged in framing activities were exposed to struck-by hazards in that eye protection was not utilized while operating the following tools: a) an employee on the roof applying sheeting to frame work with a pneumatic nailer; b) an employee on the second floor sawing 2x6 lumber with a skill saw for framing. Petrov Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315091660, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/9/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 2216 Claflin, Manhattan, Kansas.

Petrov Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315091660, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/9/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 2216 Claflin, Manhattan, Kansas.
