29 CFR 1910.23(e)(5)(iv): The mounting of handrails shall be such that the completed structure is capable of withstanding a load of at least 200 pounds applied in any direction at any point on the rail. On or about April 17, 2015 The employer did not ensure that the cotter pins for securing the removable railings for a loft storage area located in the maintenance warehouse were in place, exposing employee to 10' falls and suffering serious injury.
