29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b).   The employer does not protect employees from falling when working 6 feet or more above lower levels. This violation was observed on or about April 29, 2015, at the construction site on the south side of the residential construction site where an employee was exposed to a 9 ft. 9 inches fall hazard when performing siding activities from a roof of a residential structure without a fall protection system.    Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falling

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed.  The employer does not ensure that ladders are being used only for purposes for which they were designed.  This violation was observed on or about April 29, 2015 where an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while using a stepladder in an inappropriate manner that was not approved by the manufacturer.     Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all ladders are being used in ways for which they are designed.
