Planer Area - On or about and times prior to April 29, 2015, the cutting head guarding on a Yates American Planer (model: A-20-12) did not prevent employees from being exposed to flying debris such as wood chips when the pressure bar lever is used to allow lumber to be fed through the planer.

29 CFR 1910.265(c)(4)(iv): Elevated walk(s) and runway(s), 4 feet or more from floor level, were not provided with standard railing.    a). Stacker Area - On or about and times prior to April 29, 2015, fall protection was not provided to employees walking/working on the stacker table chain conveyor system to conduct tasks such as, but not limited to stamp change-out, thus exposing employees to a trip and a fall hazard of approximately 6.8 feet onto concrete flooring.      b). Planer Infeed Area - On or about and times prior to April 29, 2015, fall protection was not provided on a section of the planer infeed platform, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately 4 feet 10 inches.    c). Planer Mill, Sorter Area - On or about and times prior to April 29, 2015, fall protection was not provided on the sorter incline chain conveyor side of the platform, thus exposing employees a fall hazard of approximately 8.5 feet onto concrete flooring.    RB Lumber Company LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.265(c)(4)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314088956, citation number 1, item number 6 and was affirmed as a final order on September 17, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 2366-2 Interstate Paper Road, Riceboro, GA 31323.

Planer Mill Infeed Area - On or about and times prior to April 29, 2015, there was a yellow colored stairway that was not equipped with an intermediate rail on the right side ascending, thus exposing employees to a trip and a fall hazard up to approximately 57.5 inches onto concrete flooring.    RB Lumber Company LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314088956, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on September 17, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 2366-2 Interstate Paper Road, Riceboro, GA 31323.
