On or about April 30, 2015, an employee was using a pneumatic nail gun to deck a flat roof without using protective eyewear. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date completed, method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about April 30, 2015, employees were working near the edge of a flat roof approximately 11 feet high while decking a roof without fall protection. b) On or about April 30, 2015, employees used a ramp without guardrails to enter and exit the worksite that had a fall distance of approximately 9.5 feet. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date completed, method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
