29 CFR 1910.213(a)(15): Combs (featherboards) or suitable jigs shall be provided at the workplace for use when a standard guard cannot be used, as in dadoing, grooving, jointing, moulding, and rabbeting. a. 2nd floor production area - On or about May 07, 2015, employees were required to cut wood products on a daily basis utilizing a table saw, Powermatic 72A, Serial 9472152. The employer failed to ensure the unit was properly equipped with suitable jigs and / or combs (featherboards) when a standard guard cannot be used. Employees, where thereby exposed to laceration and amputation injuries.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Installation and use. Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling. a. 2nd floor production area - On or about May 07, 2015, employees were required to operate the Powermatic 72A table saw, Serial 9472152 on a daily basis. The employer failed to ensure that power was provided to this unit by components that were used as listed and labeled; in that a metal conduit type junction box having knockouts was used as a pendant drop, and was exposed to the elements on the floor adjacent to the machine. Employees were thereby exposed to electrical shock hazards.
