29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used: At the facility the employer is failing to ensure that the employees are trained to take protective measures when working with and around hazardous chemicals. Specifically - employees are working in close proximity to or with Daley Choice Low Temperature Detergent. This detergent has <20% Sodium Hydroxide and is rated as a Health Hazard 3 with an acute toxicity to both the eyes and skin that can cause irreversible eye damage and severe burns to exposed skin. According to the SDS this product has a PH of 14.
