29 CFR 1926.300(a): Condition of tools. All hand and power tools and similar equipment, whether furnished by the employer or the employee, shall be maintained in a safe condition. a. On or about May 13, 2015, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was using a sawzall which had a spliced cord, thereby exposing an employee to the hazards associated with power tools and electrical shock.
