29 CFR 1915.71(b)(7): Scaffolds were erected, moved, dismantled or altered without the supervision of competent persons.  a) 2355 Jessie Dupont Highway, Burgess, VA 22432, Vessels Ciel and Wasting Aweigh: On or about May 18, 2015, and times prior thereto, scaffolds erected alongside the hulls of vessels to prevent a fall of greater than 5 feet from the boat deck to a lower level, while employees performed fiberglass work and replaced portlights, and to provide a work platform to varnish trim at heights with an approximately 75" platform to ground fall distance, were not erected or altered under the direction of a competent person qualified in scaffold erection, moving, dismantling and alteration.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
