29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Capitol Home Contractors/1100 Old Baltimore Pike- On or about May 15, 2015, the employer did not ensure that his employees were wearing any fall protection while walking across newly installed roof joists of a single family home. The employees were seen working on the roof which is approximately 15-20 feet from ground level.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards: a) Capitol Home Contractor/1100 Old Baltimore Pike - On or about May 15, 2015 employees were instructed to install new joists on a roof, approximately 15-20 feet above ground level without being provided the necessary training on when and how to wear a harness.
