29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(3)(x): Masks in combination with eye protection devices, such as goggles or glasses with solid side shields, or chin-length face shields, were not worn whenever splashes, spray, spatter, or droplets of blood or other potentially infectious materials may be generated and eye, nose, or mouth contamination can be reasonably anticipated: (a) On or about 02/24/2015, in Cath Lab# 3, for the employee cleaning up after a procedure and splatter hitting employee in face and mouth. The employer did not enforce the use of personal protective equipment for the protection of the face and mouth such as, but not limited to, face shield.
