29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent: 1. On or about May 11, 2015, employees were exposed to building emergencies in the warehouse due to shelves stacked with materials which were blocking the visibility of the exit sign. The employer did not have signs posted throughout the warehouse indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
