29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: a) Finishing Area, on or about 4/27/2015: Employee was ripping plug stock using a Delta Rockwell 12"-14" tilting arbor saw without a guard over the blade. Employee came into contact with the blade lacerating the tip of the right hand ring finger. b) Finishing Area, from 3/2/2015 to 4/27/2015: Employee operating a Delta Rockwell 12"-14" tilting arbor saw without a guard over the exposed portion of the blade when ripping plug stock. Employee was exposed to an amputation hazard.

29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven -7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a) Scarfer Area, on or about 5/14/2015: Employee was joining pieces of lumber to connect them together and pushing them to the tunnel machine when hand slipped and went through an opening causing the employee crushing and fracture of his left hand fingers by unguarded chain and sprocket underneath the conveyor.
