OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards in that compressed gas container storage areas were not prominently posted with the hazard class or the name of the gases stored. Compressed Gas Association Standard P-1, 2008, Para 5.8.1: "Container storage areas shall be prominently posted with the hazard class or the name of the gases stored." On the north side of the maintenance shop, acetylene and oxygen were stored next to the exterior wall with no posting as to hazard class or name of gases stored.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(2): Exit routes were not arranged so that employees did not have to travel toward a high hazard area: Using the exit door at the north side of the maintenance shop, employees had to travel past acetylene storage and a 10 gallon, open container of diesel fuel. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos, which you believe will be helpful.
