29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: Instance 1: Employees using chain saws on the ground were not wearing cut resistant leggings, thereby exposing employees to struck-by hazards. Instance 2: An employee in the bucket of a vehicle-mounted work platform was using a body belt and shock absorbing lanyard as a means of fall arrest, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards. Abatement certification for this item is required in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
