29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems: a) Job site, 6335 William Penn Highway, Export, PA: On or about June 3, 2015, during steel erection activities, the employer did not ensure that employees performing initial decking installation work were utilizing fall protection systems/devices where exposed to fall hazards of at least 16 feet or greater. EKM Construction, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1000426, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 2, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 10-24 Providence Highway, Dedham, MA.
