29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) 3 Bala Avenue - Third floor: on or about May 1, 2015, employees were performing electrical and mechanical work, approximately 14 to 30 feet above a lower level, where an gap in the guardrail system did not provide complete protection. b) 3 Bala Avenue - Third floor: on or about May 1, 2015, employees were performing electrical and mechanical work, approximately 14 to 30 feet above a lower level, where the guardrail system was open to a width of no less than seven feet and did not provide complete protection.
