29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a. Maintenance Shop: Employees used a Craftsman 6 inch abrasive bench grinder to grind metal parts. The adjustable tongue guard was not adjusted below the peripheral safety guard and left an approximate 3/4 inch opening between the wheel and the peripheral safety guard, as observed on June 1, 2015.
