29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazards created by in-going nip points, rotating parts, and/or flying chips and sparks:  In the shop the employer did not provide a guard to ensure that employees were protected from flying chips and/or broken drill bits or reamers when using the Alliant Model 1054-3 Serial Number 1803. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv):   The details of the hazard communication program developed by the employer, did not include an explanation of the labels received on shipped containers and the workplace labeling system used by their employer; the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how employee could obtain and use the appropriate hazard information:  The employer has not updated the hazard communication program and trained employees on the portion of the hazard communication program that explains the labels on shipping containers and the safety data sheets for items such as but not limited to cutting fluids, paint, solvents and hydraulic fluid and lubricating oils including the order of information and how the employee could obtain and use the hazard information.
