29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been  taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s)  The employer does not ensure powered industrial trucks found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had been taken out of service until restored to safe operating conditions.   a. This violation occurred on or about June 18, 2015, in Pod E where employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard while operating a Caterpillar Forklift, SN AT3504978 that was observed to have the propane tank that was not completely secured and a missing horn cover on the steering wheel.  b. This violation occurred on or about June 18, 2015, in Pod E where employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while operating a Toyota Forklift, SN 97141 that the parking brake did not work when fully engaged.   c. This violation occurred on or about June 18, 2015, in Pod A where employees were exposed to caught in or between hazards while operating a Toyota Forklift, SN 76186 that had a broken gauge cover and would not shift forward or backwards due to defective hydraulics.
