OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: (a) On or about June 18, 2015, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards due to altering the RAS 90 -DC Buffing Machine by removing all the safety mechanisms and utilizing the machine for a purpose other than which it was intended to inflate used tires while checking for holes and bulges. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
