OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of heat-related illnesses: a) On or about June 16, 2015 - employee(s) were working in extremely hot working conditions when working on a trash collection route at a temperature of 95 degrees Fahrenheit and a humidity of 40%, resulting in a maximum heat index of 99 degrees Fahrenheit. The employer did not take the necessary steps to protect employees such as promptly removing employee(s) from the worksite and providing first aid for employee(s) at the first signs of a possible heat-related illness.
