29 CFR 1926.55(a): Employee was exposed to material(s) at concentrations above those specified in the Threshold Limit Values of Airborne Contaminants for 1970 of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists: a. Building One, Navy Support Activities, Defense Supply Center Philadelphia 700 Robbins Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19111 - An employee engaged in grinding of mortar joints activities was overexposed to respirable silica dust at a concentration of 13.5 millions of particles per cubic foot (mppcf) expressed as an 8-hour time weighted average. The exposure level was 1.4 times the calculated construction Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 9.6 mppcf. Sampling was conducted for 371minutes and zero exposures was assumed for unsampled time. Violation occurred on or about August 6, 2015.
